The short version
- No ads, and no advertising or analytics trackers in the app.
- We never sell your data or share it with advertisers or data brokers.
- What you add is visible to you and any partner you invite into your account.
- Delete your account anytime in the app, and we erase your data.
Who we are
BabyBound is operated by [COMPANY NAME], [STATE / COUNTRY] (“we”, “us”). This policy covers the BabyBound app and mybabybound.com.
What we collect
- Account details: your name and email, and your Apple or Google sign-in if you use one.
- What you add: your due date or baby’s birth date, baby details, activity logs, journal entries and photos, tasks, calendar events, and other content you choose to save.
- Notifications: a device token so we can send the reminders you turn on.
- Subscriptions: whether you have Premium. Payments are handled by Apple or Google; we never see your card details.
- Crash reports: technical details when the app crashes, sent without your personal information.
How we use it
Only to run BabyBound for you: showing the right content for your week, saving and syncing what you log, sharing it with a partner you invite, sending reminders you’ve turned on, answering your questions in the AI companion, and fixing bugs. We don’t use your data for advertising, and we don’t sell it.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers to run the app. They process data only on our behalf:
- Clerk: sign-in and account security.
- Railway: hosting for our servers and database.
- Amazon Web Services (S3): storage for photos you upload.
- OpenAI: only when you use the AI companion, to answer your questions using relevant parts of your journey.
- RevenueCat: managing Premium subscriptions.
- Expo, Apple, and Google: delivering notifications.
- Sentry: crash and error reports.
We may also disclose information if required by law.
How we protect it
Data is encrypted in transit over HTTPS, sign-in is handled by a dedicated authentication provider, and access to your account’s data is limited to you and the partner you invite.
Your choices
- Edit or delete what you’ve added at any time in the app.
- Delete your whole account in Profile → My Account → Delete account. This erases your account data and uploaded photos. See Delete your account.
- Turn notifications on or off in Profile → Notifications.
- Ask us for a copy of your data, or to correct or delete it, at support@mybabybound.com.
Children
BabyBound is for parents and parents-to-be. It isn’t directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under [13 / 16]. Details about your baby are added by you, as their parent.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date above and, for significant changes, let you know in the app.
